Aged care physiotherapy services available
We provide a range of services as part of our physiotherapy care plan for older Australians, including;
- Mobility assessment and walking aid prescriptions
- Injury prevention and treatment
- Pain management interventions
- Falls prevention strategies and education
- Customised home exercise and rehabilitation programs
- Hydrotherapy
- Manual handling education and assistance.
Eligibility criteria*
- You need to be aged over 65 or over 50 for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders.
- Some services may be available to people aged under 65.

There are several ways to access our services and programs, including the funding options outlined below. In some cases, clients may be eligible for free physiotherapy for seniors.
Please note this service is not available as part of Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) funding or Commonwealth Home Support Program.
Government Funding
Physiotherapy is only available through Home Care Package funding.

Yes, this service can be aligned with your values and preferences. Our Physiotherapists will take the time to learn your individual cultural and care needs so they are always considered when making their recommendations. They will also encourage you to set meaningful goals and help you to achieve them. You may also have your preferred support person included during the consultations or access interpreting services if required.
This service is delivered by Registered Physiotherapists who are experts in the structure of the human body and its movement. They are trained to diagnose and treat injuries and conditions that limit your mobility, to help you recover your functionality and prevention of re-injury.
Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are qualified to provide a range of services to help you improve your mobility, but in addition Physiotherapists have the expertise to provide individual hands-on treatment to assist you with your rehabilitation process.
Yes. Our Physiotherapists will provide an initial assessment and work with you to create a treatment plan that is catered to your needs.
Depending on your needs, we can provide and/or assist with purchase of exercise equipment and mobility aids to help you with your treatment.
Your Physiotherapist will advise during treatment and discuss any additional equipment costs with you however most of the time, yes these are yours to keep at the end of any treatment, course or program.
An initial assessment will be conducted to determine your health conditions and presenting issues so the Physiotherapist can determine the most appropriate course of treatment. This may include massage therapy but it is important to remember that this isn't always the most effective treatment for long term improvements.
Unfortunately integratedliving does not provide acupuncture as a service offering.
We cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed if you had purchased exercise equipment before your assessment by our Physiotherapists. We strongly advise that you get assessed with us first to ensure you are getting the appropriate equipment and have our Physiotherapist and Case Manager organise the purchase for you.
