As we continue to navigate this difficult time, the protection and care of the integratedliving family - clients, volunteers and staff, continues to be our top priority and the key consideration as we make decisions on how to move forward.
Whilst we do not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 at this current time, we have today (20 March), taken the decision to temporarily close all of our Wellness Centres, Activity Centres, Respite Centres as a precautionary measure. In many instances, we have the opportunity to offer services via other virtual methods, to continue to support our clients in new ways.
Our clinical and support at homes services, which are facilitated in a one on one situation, remain in place and we are committed to continuing these services, whilst monitoring them closely. Please be reassured that all of our staff are trained to the highest of standards in infection control and we are following best practice Public Health guidelines.
In addition to these temporary closures, all office-based staff, where possible, are also working from home on an interim basis.
We will continue to review these measures as the COVID-19 crisis evolves and we will take any further appropriate steps to help safeguard the wellness of our integratedliving family.
The vigilance our workforce has displayed in our response to COVID-19 is remarkable and has placed our organisation in a position of strength as we continue to confront this world-wide emergency.
I’m grateful to all of our clients, volunteers and staff for their support and understanding. We will get through this ‘modern wartime’ together and will continue to bring you updates as this situation evolves.
Meanwhile, please refer to Australian Government Department of Health for information. Alternatively, if you do not have access to their website, you can call the Department’s special Coronavirus helpline on 1800 020 080.
