Our Activity Centres are filled with energy and creativity.
In this second chapter of Live Well Moments, we bring you Olympic-style challenges, birthday celebrations and vibrant efforts from our green-thumb gardeners. There’s never a dull moment!
Our clients and team bring our centres to life with their enthusiasm and creativity. These stories celebrate the joy and camaraderie that make our community so special. As the Activity Centre Team Leader, I'm thrilled to share these inspiring moments with you. I hope you find them as heartwarming and uplifting as I do.
Gosford clients going for gold
As Australia chased gold in Paris, our Gosford Activity Centre clients engaged in their own thrilling Olympic Games. Over two weeks of vibrant competitions, creative crafts and exciting activities, led by our fantastic Activity Officers, wrapped up in a spectacular medal ceremony. Our medalists proudly flaunted their gold, silver and bronze awards, but to us, every client is a champion.

Double birthday fun at Raymond Terrace
At Raymond Terrace, a double birthday celebration brought extra joy this month. Our outstanding Activity Officer, Renee, turned 50 and was surprised with a very special weekend. Celebrations started with the musical Chicago and ended with a breathtaking helicopter flight.
Client Martin’s birthday was just a day earlier, doubling the celebrations. Our Centre's community marked their birthdays with fun acrostic poems for both Matin and Renee, adding to the joyous time.

Gorokan's Olympic Spirit
This month, Gorokan's much-loved tree was adorned with Olympic-themed medals to honour the Paris Games! Known for its rare and ever-changing displays, the tree set the stage for a variety of exciting Olympic Games. Clients enjoyed a variety of activities like egg and spoon races, volleyball and even a playful high jump (only kidding about high jump!).
The clients gathered to watch the thrilling events on TV and celebrate the incredible achievements of our Australian Olympians. Nostalgic moments from past Olympics were shared, and creative hands crafted vibrant Olympic Rings and flags from crepe paper and glitter. Leftover gold coins from St Patrick’s Day turned into delicious gold medals, adding a sweet touch to the festivities.
